TNTP Virtual Learning Opportunity

In partnership with TNTP we offered an opportunity for district leaders to learn more about the identification, design, and implementation of culturally responsive and sustaining social studies education.  Evan Gutierrez, consultant and author of “The New Canon: Designing Culturally Sustaining Humanities Curriculum” presented the importance of social studies especially at the elementary grade levels, addressing and reducing the fear factor in social studies education, and how to establish a new vision for social studies education.
